• ABOUT ME

Where I'm from, how I got here, how I'm involved in Caledon

Derek Clark has over 30 years of business and sales experience in the technology sector with recognized industry leaders such as Xerox, HP, and Toshiba. Derek has also owned and operated a consulting company and was a member of the Caledon Chamber of Commerce. He holds an MBA. Born in Leamington, Ontario, Derek's grandfathers were farmers in Harrow, one of which served as the MP for Essex South for 22 years.

Derek’s commitment to making a difference in Caledon is evident through his community service in organizations like the Rotary Club of Palgrave. He has extensive volunteer, fundraising and leadership experience within the community and has actively supported and participated with local organizations and events to improve the quality of life in Caledon.

Derek and his wife Janet have two adult sons, Stuart and Patrick. They live in the Village of Palgrave and have been residents of Peel Region since 2004.

  • MY POLICIES

Election Day is October 22, 2018. Over the next few months, my team and I will work hard to earn your trust and support by knocking on every door in the wards. I firmly believe that the first step to building a better Caledon begins with listening to the people who live, work, and play in our community.

    Expand healthcare facilities and services

Improve road safety and manage traffic congestion

I have had the privilege to know Derek for the past five years. Without any hesitation, I can truly say that he is a devoted Husband, Father, Businessman, Rotarian and Community Advocate. His professional, personal and community accomplishments complement precisely who we need to represent Caledon on Council. I can think of no one more deserving and well-suited to represent Wards 3 and 4 then Derek Clark.

    Cheri Cowan

Former Clerk - Town of Caledon

Caledon needs someone with the expertise, experience and the knowledge of private sector business; someone who understands marketing, finance, technology, customer service, etc. Derek has this experience and expertise; he cares deeply about his community and has spent significant time and energy giving back to his community. Caledon needs Derek Clark.

BRYON WILSON - WILSON FARM FAMILY

Derek Clark is an advocate for healthcare and the well-being of others in our community. For far too long, we have been trying, unsuccessfully, to donate 20 acres of land to the Town of Caledon for an urgent care centre in Bolton. We need help on Town Council if we are to be successful with this cause. We feel that only Derek will represent Wards 3 & 4 and champion this important healthcare initiative for the benefit of all residents.
